The things I overhear

I don't intentionally evesdrop, but my hearing is quite good, and my attention is easily attracted by the odd. Like the coversation yesteray at lunch about whether or not the CIA was smuggling drugs from Mexico into the U.S. through San Francisco using a sailboat, for example. (I doubt it, I can think of dozens of better ways, several of which come from movies)

Or for contrast there's todays mention of Mummenschanz. Ah ha! I thought I remembered them from 3-2-1 Contact, and I was right! It took some searching, the internet seems mostly interested in their apperance on the Muppet Show and information on any other TV apperances is hard to track down. You know, those people are rather creepy for the intended age range of 3-2-1 contact, somewhere between clowns and puppets.
