The joys of defered maintainence...
Jan. 12th, 2009 02:05 pmWhy must everything mechanical break down at the same time? At the moment in my apartment building the only functioning elevator is the one in the front lobby and you'd have to go to the 3rd floor or higher in order to find a functioning laundry machine. Please note the due to a hill I have to go to the lobby anyway if I want to take the stairs above the second floor anyway, and that the lack of laundry machines below the 3rd floor means that there are at least six malfunctioning ones. (I didn't check to see if there were any dead ones further up)
Yes, I know. Were not talking about emergency priority breakdowns here and so these problems had the full weekend to accumulate, but really. We aren't talking about "dorm damage" type incidents here either, if my fellow apartment residents were that rowdy I would have moved a while ago.
