CBS's Katie Couric earns an annual salary greater than the combined entire operating budgets on NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Sure, we're comparing TV to radio here, and for-profit to non-profit, but we are also comparing one person to two entire operating staffs plus utilities, equipment, and everything else required to get the news out on the airwaves.
