Especially while walking past store windows. A hassock in the shape of a perfect cube, covered in squares of poorly cut white fur (no clue as to real or fake, I didn't enter the premises). A chair with blocky brushed steel supports and cushions upholstered in in long, shaggy, mottled brown fur. A table with a beveled oval glass top and rough hewn wooden legs.

I have no idea what effect the creator of these pieces of furniture was trying for, retro-futuristic barbarism, perhaps? In any case, what was achieved was both an impression of cheapness and tackiness. Like someone happened across a batch of left over props from 70's Sci-Fi and Fantasy, and and repaired whatever had deteriorated by mixing and matching between them. I honestly can't imagine what sort of decor they could possible fit with, since they certainly didn't match with each other

Edit: Also, someone please tell me that retro-futuristic barbarism is merely my description of these offenses against taste, and not something that actually exists. Please? :)
