In my dream last night I gave someone who had no real computer experience a dissertation on the etymology and origin of the word "pwn." Not just the portion about the misspelling of the word "own," but also a discussion about how talk of ownership got involved in trash talk to begin with. This is something that I've never cared enough about to bother to think about, but apparently my subconscious decided to expend some neurons on the subject. I think those neurons might be better used storing a jingle for Burma Shave or some such.
