Aug. 6th, 2007 12:44 pmOkay, now i just need to wait. My computer should arrive tomorrow, the DSL modem should arrive "this week," and the service will be turned on the 10th. Why does the part that doesn't involve anything physically moving take the longest?
Two comments about the changing in climate. I suspect that one of the reasons the building my apartment is in is slated to be replaced is the lack of insulation. Temperature-wise it is fine, but a lack of thermal insulation also results in a lack of sound insulation, and its a good thing I learned how to sleep through noise in the dorms or the buses going by outside the single pane windows might have been a problem. On the other hand, Heat and hot water aren't worrisome to the landlord and a long hot shower did wonders for my shoulders yesterday. It's nice not having to think about the size of the water heater when you're trying to decide how forceful to set the shower.
